Kyle Trissel
Director of Referees

Since 2010, Kyle has been a registered referee through the Metro DC-VA state referee program as well as US Soccer. After receiving his Grade 8 certification in 2010 Kyle spent five years officiating local soccer in the Harrisonburg and Charlottesville area. In addition, Kyle took opportunities to referee big name tournaments such as WAGS and Jefferson Cup within Virginia. In 2015, Kyle received his Grade 7 certification. During this time he also pursued certifications with Virginia High School League as well as US Soccer for his assigning badge. Now serving as the Director of Referees for SVU since 2015; Kyle has since been admitted as a member of National Intercollegiate Soccer Official's Association and has received his Grade 6 State Referee certification from US Soccer. As a referee, Kyle has been assigned numerous VHSL State playoff matches, Division 1, 2 and 3 collegiate level matches, VYSA State Cup matches, USYA President's Cup matches, as well as USYA Region 1 Final matches. Kyle also is a certified International Paintball Referee. He is a member of James Madison University's Sports Officials Club. In addition, Kyle is pursuing a degree in Sport and Recreation Management as well as a concentration in General Business.

SVU Referee Program Overview

Shenendoah Valley United is committed to producing the best product possible when it comes to youth soccer. This includes our referees. 
The SVU Referee Program provides referees for the Recreation, Center of Excellence, and Competitive programs of Shenandoah Valley United, one of the largest soccer organizations in the Shenandoah Valley. Our referees are certified through the United States Soccer Federation and are part of the Metro DC-Virginia State Referee Program.

STEPS TO BECOME A REFEREE:

1.  Register for a training course at www.vadcsoccerref.com

2.  Take the course.

3.  Pass the course.

4. Give contact and referee info to assignor.
