Once you are logged in, go to the upper left hand corner and choose "Register now" and the programs your child is eligible for will appear so that you may enroll them. Downtown Athletic/Shenandoah Valley United Online Store – August, 30, 2010

PRESS RELEASE: SVU has partnered with Downtown Athletic of Harrisonburg to offer our first online store! This store will allow you to purchase select SVU merchandise and other soccer items for your soccer player and for SVU fans. The website offers items such as extra game shorts, game socks, practice tees, soccer bags, and warm up suits as well as SVU hoodies and other soccer necessities.

Orders placed on line will take 2-4 weeks to arrive. If you wish to have the SVU logo embroidered or screened on your product you can expect to add another week or two to the arrival date. Ordered merchandise will be picked up at Downtown Athletic.

In addition to the online store, Downtown Athletic is offering a discount program to IN STORE shoppers. When you visit Downtown Athletic tell the cashier you would like the SVU Discount. This will give you a 10% discount year round on all retail, non-discounted items (not just soccer items!). Downtown Athletic is going to track all SVU sales and will also be making a donation to the SVU club based on SVU sales.

Shenandoah Valley United

Shenandoah Valley United (SVU) was created to promote and organize soccer in Harrisonburg City, Rockingham County and the surrounding area. Begun in 1995 as Harrisonburg Soccer Association, the league averages 600 players in recreational programs and 300 in travel programs each year. SVU is a member of the Virginia Youth Soccer Association (VYSA), an affiliate of the U.S. Youth Soccer Association.

The primary goal is to develop soccer skills, foster proper attitudes toward competition and sportsmanship, learn respect for rules, the value of teamwork, self-discipline, and gain self-confidence through improved soccer skills. Most importantly, SVU provides a fun and satisfying experience for all involved in the program—players, coaches, referees and parents. The program offers an excellent opportunity to make new friends and provides a wholesome and safe environment to develop skills and be active.
